Enville Golf Club Ladies Section
The Lady Captain for 2017 is Lynne Price, ably assisted by her Vice Captain Isobel Rees and a hard working committee. The main day for Lady competitions is Thursday, however alternative days at weekends are available.
We have numerous competitions that we are involved in. The section often plays for trophies which are steeped in history, as well as competitions that give members an opportunity to play in further rounds in different counties. We have a very successful Ladies Section with players representing Staffordshire County in the annual County Week which we hosted of in 2015.
The Ladies Section at Enville Golf Club has Scratch A and B Teams which have seen great success in recent years, as well as our friendly matches with local clubs between April and October. We also take part in four mixed matches a year, both home and away, as well as mixed trophy competitions throughout the year. Our club has recently introduced a measured and qualified ‘Blue Course’ running alongside the Highgate Course, for those who are perhaps new to the game of golf and want to experience playing Enville – minus some of the heather! The four Open meetings we run throughout the year are well supported by visitors who welcome the opportunity of playing one of two of the prestigious courses we have available.
This year we are the host of The British Girls Open Amateur Championship in August 2017. We look forward to welcoming over 140 Amateur Girl golfers and the opportunity to share our great facilities and all they have to offer.
'We also enjoy special golfing and social events including our Annual Ladies' Lunch and the highlight of the year our Lady Captain's Day
